I got my first certification in 2010 and began teaching full-time in 2011. Now, more than fifteen years later, I proudly use four certifications to create an individual training plan for each client that addresses your unique goals and physical needs. My certifications include Body Arts and Science (BASI), Foundation Training, Neurokinetic Training (NKT) and Body Ready Method (BRM). I love learning about the science of the body and mind and sharing it with you to help you reach your fitness and lifestyle goals, pain free!
I primarily focus on postural work, emphasizing that proper body movements have the power to help tremendously with the reduction of common problems like back, knee and shoulder pain. I often work with clients who suffer from injuries, as well as prenatal and postnatal clients. Pilates and Foundation Training is especially useful for improving overall health and fitness at any fitness level. My clients know that there is no end to learning about your body!
My passion for movement began as a young girl studying ballet in Washington State. I was an apprentice with The Spokane Ballet Company prior to receiving a scholarship to move to LA and pursue a career in performing arts. I studied jazz, tap, modern, singing, and acting and then…surprise… I got a talent agent and started going to auditions. How unique! In any case…
I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness, and at some point I decided I wanted to learn more about the body. So I went to massage school and then I got into Yoga…long before it became a household name. One thing about me and learning…it doesn’t stop. I will forever be the curious student.
I received my formal Pilates training through internationally recognized “BASI” and I’ve also completed the foundation level of Gyrotonic. With all the extensive education I’ve invested in, I have had the privilege of sharing my knowledge with so many different kinds of people. Movement does a body good, but it’s also an integral part of our mental health. These mindful movement practices that I teach not only help people live with less physical pain, but also an increased sense of happiness and well-being.
When I’m not moving on the mat, I’m busy doing another love of mine, design! I went back to school during the pandemic to study a passion. And, Voila! Here I am! I have 2 fur babes that are adored and I’m always looking for a new food adventure!
